Pictures from Hanuka 2004 championship

On Thursday December 9th we held a full contact ju-jitsu championship for the junior students.

The championship was very good and the students showed lots of fighting spirit as well as sportive attitude.

Pictures from national senior grades exams, December 2004

On Wednesday December 29th we held grades exams for our senior students in our hunbo dojo, Samurai club in Givatayim.

Students from Jerusalem, Modiin, Tel Mond and Givatayim have participated.

The exams were managed by our national coach sensei Amir Barnea 6th dan, together with sensei Asaf Achdoot 2nd dan, sensei Gidon Shwabe 2nd dan, sensei Avi Orshalem 2nd dan and sensei Ran Sudai 2nd dan. Sempai Shmulik Shperling 1st dan helped as well.

The exams were for yellow, orange, green and three brown belts.

The students showed high level of techniques according to the international syllabus.

Pictures from ju-jitsu seminar and grades exams, December 2004

On Sunday December 12th we held a big ju-jitsu seminar in Jerusalem together with grades exams. This event was for sensei Akiva Taylor's students from Jerusalem and surroundings dojos.

Sensei Amir Barnea 6th dan and national coach was the head of the examiners, and sensei Asaf Achdoot 2nd dan, sensei Gidon Shwabwe 2nd dan and sensei Avi Orshalem 2nd dan taught in the seminar.

Pictures from WJJF international Seminar, March 2004

 

An international ju-jitsu seminar was held in Kfar-Ha'Maccabiya Ramat-Gan on Sunday March 28th.

Senior international ju-jitsu teachers have participated in the seminar:

  • Soke prof' Robert Clark - 9th dan - England: international technical director of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation.

  • Giacomo Spartaco Bertoletti - 8th dan - Italy: international president of the World Ju-Jitsu and Kobudo Organization.

  • Sensei Steffano Mancini - 6th dan - Italy.

  • Sensei Simon Rimington - 6th dan - England.

  • Sensei Gwido Nicoly - 4th dan - Italy.

  • and more senior teachers.

Isreali ju-jitsu teachers from the World Ju-Jitsu Federation have participated as well, and also a guest teacher sensei Mati Elyashiv 6th dan in ju-jitsu and his students, and several karate students.

Children, youth and adults ju-jitsu and karate trainees have participated and enjoyed.


Pictures from international grades exams, March 2004

 

International black belts exams were held on Saturday March 27th, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd dan.

The exams took place in the main club of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation in Israel, Samurai Club in Givatayim.

The exams were at the presence of the Soke Prof' Robert Clark 9th dan from England, the international president Giacomo Spartaco Bertoleti 8th dan from Italy, sensei Steffano Mancini 6th dan from Italy, sensei Gwido Nicoly 4th dan from Italy, and also sensei Amir Barnea 6th from Israel and sensei Ram Oren 4th dan from Israel.

The examinees for 1st dan were: Rinat Liphshits, Gal Nimri and Shmulik Shperling. The examinees for 2nd dan were: Danny Varnavin, Danny Dorfman, Dorom Lemze and Ran Sudai. The examinee for 3rd dan was Asaf Achdoot.

The Soke Robert Clark himself managed the exams, and the examinees had to show high standard of techniques.

All the exams went successfully. The grades ceremony was held on the day after in a big ju-jitsu seminar.


Pictures From Yellow Belt Exams, Modiin Dojo October 2003

On October 2003, yellow belt exams were held in Modiin dojo to Amit Porat's students.

These exams were the first exams in the dojo, and went very well. We wish Amit and his students in modiin many years of ju-jitsu.

Pictures From sensei Ram Oren 4th Dan Exam

On September 2003 Sensei Ram Oren had an exam for his 4th dan. The exam took place in the hunbo dojo of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation in England, in an international exams event.

The head of the examiners was the Soke, Prof' Robert Clark 9th Dan, who examined together with his superior student, the Shihan, Alan Campbell, and other senior black belts.

Pictures From Sea Training, 17/Aug/2003

As we do every year, we have performed a training outside this year as well to celebrate the end of the training season.

At August 17th 2003 a sea training was held at Herzeliya beach.

The training included running on the beach, ju-jitsu on the beach and in the water, and watermelons and beers at the end of the evening.

This trainig was the second training we held outside in August to celebrate the end of the trainig season, and to welcome the upcoming trainig season.

As you can see in the pictures, the trainig was very pleasing.

Pictures From Stage Exams For Beit-El Students, August 2003

In end of August 2003 four students from Beit-El dojo (under sensei Akiva Taylor instruction) had passed stage exams.

The exams were held in the main dojo of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation in Israel, Samurai Club in Givatayim.

The four students had passed the exams after hard work they done during their summer vecation.

In end of July 2003 - end of 2002/3 training season for the junior students in Samurai club, there was a nice event to celebrate the past season.

This event was organized by the kids, with the participation of their parents.

Martial Arts Seminar in Sdot-Yam Kibuts

On July 2003, a big martial arts seminar was held in Sdot-Yam Kibuts.

The seminar included jujitsu, karata, shito-rio and karata shotokan.

The jujitsu doctrine was managed by the headship of the world  jujitsu federatin, the soka Robert Clark 9th and the shihan Alan Campbel from England 8th, sensei Stafano Mancini from Italy 6th and sensai Gwido Nicolly from Italy 4th dan.

The karata do shito-ryo was managed by sensai Kichi Saseyama 7th dan from Japan and his student sensai Gidon Shwabe 3rd dan.

The karata do shotokan was manage by sensai Haim tubul 5th dan along with his student tal.


Dans Exams, July 2003

On July 2003, grading tests were held for 1st dan and 2nd dan at the hunbo dojo of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation in Israel - Samurai club in Givatayim.

The exams were held by the head of the World  Ju-Jitsu Federation, the soke Robert Clark 9th dan and the shihan Alan Campbel from England 8th dan.

The levels awarding ceremony took place at the martial arts seminar in Sdot-Yam Kibutz that was held several days afterwards, with the participation of senior instructors from Israel and abroad.

On April 2003 a Ju-Jitsu seminar was held in Kfar Ha-Maccabiya. About 130 kids and youth have participated, from all the W.J.J.F's clubs in Israel.

The seminar lasted 4 hours, and included special Ju-Jitsu demonstrations that every club has made in advace.

During March 2003 belts exams were held in the hunbo dojo, Samurai Club. Many students were examined in about 3 hours to yellow, orange, green and blue belts.

The exams were very intensive and in high performance.

In Hanuka December 2002, a Ju-Jitsu seminar was held in Beit-El, for sensei Akiva Taylor's students in Beit-El dojo. This seminar was taught by sensei Amit Porat Dan 3 and Sensei Akiva Taylor Dan 1.

Pictures from sea train.

An "end of the season" special train was held in Augoust 2002 in Tel-Aviv sea shore. This train included self defense exercises, throws and locks on the beach and in the water.

In November 2002 a martial arts weekend was held, organized by sensei Roni Akirav, a Dan 6 Goju Rio Karate Do instructor, to his seniors students. Sensei Amit Porat Dan 3 was invited to this weekend, and gave a Ju-Jitsu seminar.
